Juan Ayala is originally from Chicago, though he was raised in California from the age of twelve. He worked in retail clothing before joining the Oblates. Before novitiate, he spent a year at the pre-novitiate in Florida and a year in the pre-novitiate in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico. Having completed his third year of theology in Chicago, he is doing a pastoral year at St. Casimir's Parish in St. Paul, MN. |

Quilin Bouzi has completed his fourth year of theology and is currently engaged in a pastoral year in the African nation of Zambia. Quilin was born in Haiti and has lived in the United States for many years. His prior profession was architecture, but his recurring attraction to priesthood led him to consider a life with the Missionary Oblates. |

Joe Dowling, a Chicago native, completed his Master of Divinity degree in May at CTU. A native of Chicago, and a graduate of Notre Dame University, he taught in high school before joining the Oblates. He is currently involved in his pastoral internship in San Juan, TX. |

Porfirio Garcia, who is originally from Mexico, completed his prenovitiate training in Tijuana and Buffalo and his novitiate year in Godfrey. Having completed his third year of theology, is is at St. Jude Shrine in New Orleans, LA, for his pastoral year. |

Francisco ("Paco") Gomez was born in Mexico City, but spent many years in Tijuana. For his pastoral year, he has received an assignment to the "nation's icebox," International Falls, MN, at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. |

Tony Ortiz is the U.S. representative at the International Scholasticate in Rome, Italy, where he is doing his theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University. During the past summer, he ministered with youth in Lourdes and spent several weeks in Paris studying French. |

Antonio Ponce, a native of the state of Jalisco in Mexico, has completed his second year of theological studies at St. Charles Scholasticate in Ottawa, ON, Canada. He is working at the Oblate parish in Tijuana, BC, Mexico, for his pastoral internship. |

Fernando Velázquez comes from Mexicali in Baja California, Mexico. He came to know the Oblates through his home parish, where he was involved in church and youth activities. After a year at the pre-novitiate in Tijuana, he transferred to the one in Florida where he graduated from St. John Vianney College Seminary. Having completed his third year of theology at CTU, he is now in Brazil for his pastoral internship. |
