| In the three pre-novitiate programs of the United States Province, the two scholasticate communities, and the Inter-Regional novitiate in Godfrey, IL, there is once again a vast wealth of ethnic and cultural diversity, as can be seen in the statistics below. DIACONATE PLANNED Our scholastic in Rome, Brother Salvador "Chava" Gonzalez, OMI, informs us that the General Council has accepted his request to be ordained to the Order of Deacon. He will receive the sacrament in Florence, Italy, on December 7, 2002 when an Italian scholastic will be ordained a priest.
