OBLATE TO BE ORDAINED A PRIEST

 
     
 

Deacon Salvador (Chava) Gonzalez, OMI, will receive the Order of Priesthood through the laying on of hands and prayer of Bishop Allen H. Vigneron, DD, Bishop of Oakland, CA, on January 24, 2004.

 

The ordination will take place at the Oblate parish in Oakland, Sacred Heart, where Fr. Thomas Hayes, OMI, is the pastor.

 

Deacon Chava completed his theological studies at the International Scholasticate in Rome last June.  He is currently in a year of pastoral internship at Nuestra Senora del Carmen Church in Lowell, MA, under the mentorship of the pastor, Fr. James Taggart, OMI.
