FORMATION NEWS FOR JANUARY 2003 |

Zambian Scholastics arrive in Chicago and San Antonio Two more Oblate scholastics from Zambia plan to arrive in the United States in early January to continue their studies for the priesthood. Up to this point, both have been studying at St. Joseph Scholasticate in Cedara, South Africa. PATRICK CHOMBA will continue his studies at Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio and be part of the George Sexton Scholasticate Community. GEORGE KOMBE NGOLWE will live at the Oblate House of Theology in Chicago and attend classes at Catholic Theological Union. A HEARTY WELCOME TO BOTH OF THEM.

Novices in Guatemala In December, Fr. David Ullrich, OMI, from the provincial administration was able to pay a visit to the two novices from the United States Province who are at the novitiate in Guatemala. Antonio Ponce and Gelasio Chandomi have as their novice director Fr. Santiago Lyons, OMI, originally from the former Southern U.S. Province and a long-time missionary in Mexico.
