SEVEN NEW NOVICES IN GODFREY

On August 17, 2004, Fr. Louie Lougen, OMI, Director of Novices, formally welcomed seven new novices into the Oblate Inter-Regional Novitiate in Godfrey, IL.  Many Oblates from nearby came to meet the new novitiate community which has novices from the United States, the Delegation of Zambia, and the Anglo-Irish Province.  Other staff members in Godfrey are Fathers Syl Lewans and John Collet.

The novices will spend the coming year deepening their commitment to and knowledge of Oblate life as they prepare for first profession of vows on August 1, 2005.
