"FIRST FIVE" GROUP HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING

King’s House of Retreats in Belleville, IL, was the site of the recent meeting of the “under 5” group of Oblates.

For the first 5 years after their ordination as Oblate priests or perpetual vows as Oblate brothers, younger members of the province meet with each other and with  members of the provincial administration.  The purpose of the annual gathering is to give support to the younger Oblates in their initial years of ministry.  It also gives them the opportunity to share with one another the joys and challenges they have encountered since they left first formation.
