  • The young men in the Pre-Novitiate Candidacy Program here in Buffalo, NY regularly engage with the Holy Angels parish Youth Group.  A recent outing found Ben and Webert “on the skids”

  • Several weeks ago, 2 Province Formators spent a few days surveying the Formation component of our Oblate Apostolates here in Buffalo. Fr. John Collet, OMI, will soon join the novitiate team in Godfrey, IL.  Fr. Jim Allen, OMI, is the Province Formation Director.   It was great to have them with us – new faces, new stories, new perspectives.

  • For a full week, we were privileged to host the pilgrim statue of Our Lady of the Cape from Québec.  Fr. Yoland Ouellet ,OMI and  Mrs. Rita Burns (an Oblate Associate) made Holy Angels parish and our Oblate community their base as they fanned-out to area parishes promoting devotion to this Madonna from Canada’s National Oblate Shrine.  Bro. Richard Coté OMI served as liaison.

  • Three  years ago, the Oblates in Buffalo, NY celebrated our sesquicentennial of ministry on the Niagara Frontier.  A Memorial Picture Book was commissioned to commemorate the history of Holy Angels Church and the Oblates in service here for 150 years.  Several years in the making, the book recently arrived from the publisher and was forwarded to parishioners and friends near and far who had placed advanced orders.  Fr. Terry O'Connell, OMI, pastor,  and Bob Chambers helped distribute the books.
