FR. DAVID POWER'S NEW BOOK

Oblate author and theologian, Fr. David Power, OMI, has published a book entitled Love Without Calculation.

In his new collection of theological reflections, Fr. Power looks at kenosis as the key to understanding the gift of God given to the world through the missions of Word and Spirit, the life of the Church and its mission, and the presence of the Divine Trinity in history and creation.

A native of Dublin, Ireland, Fr. Power has taught theology in Ireland, Rome, and the United States, where he has been professor at the Catholic University of America.  Since becoming professor emeritus, he has taught at St. Paul University in Ottawa, Canada, and in the diocesan seminary of French Polynesia on the island of Tahiti.  He has written several other books on theology and has contributed to numerous theological journals.

This latest work is published by Herder & Herder, a Crossword Publishing Company.
