The young adult group from Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Houston, Texas, had their annul retreat in October at Camp Kappie. Fr. Salvador Gonzalez, OMI, spent the weekend with them and served as spiritual director of the retreat. All participants were 18 years and older. The retreat consisted of different activities and talks with such themes as: “Who am I?” “The other.” “Jesus and I.” “The family.” It concluded with a talk entitled “I am your answer.”
The goal was to help the young adults analyze what kind of lifestyle they are living and whether that is what they want. The ideas was to help them discover who they are in the eyes of God and that God is already in them. There was a team of 13, with 23 young adults participating in our retreat.
We know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life…and the answer to whatever it is we are looking for.
