Niagara University honors Fr. Daniel O'Leary, OMI

Niagara University near amazing Niagara Falls, NY, has honored long-time professor, Father Daniel O’Leary, OMI, with the President’s Medal. It is the university’s highest honor and was given to Fr. Dan at the 2006 Vincentian Heritage Convocation on January 24 by the University President, Fr. Joseph L. Levesque, C.M.
Fr. Dan served at the university for 31 years, most recently as Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs. Prior to that, he was the Dean of the College of Education. He was credited with leading the College of Education to accreditation by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and with obtaining ministerial consent from the Ministry of Education to operate extension programs in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
