Just heard about the reunion and was sorry that I missed it. I have many good memories of OLO and the good spiritual formation we had there. Also, have many memories of the card games, ping pong, going to nearby creeks to fish on Sunday afternoons, as well as the retreats and receiving our junior Oblate cross. After leaving the novitiate in Alton in the spring of 1965, I enrolled and graduated from SLU. From there, I taught religion and Latin (thanks Fr. Paris) in Wichita, Ks. From there, I moved to KC to teach history at a Christian Bro. HS where I met my lovely wife, Maryiln. In 1971, we moved to St. Charles, Mo where I taught Latin and French (thanks Fr. Beckerer) and then social studies for three years. Leaving teaching for greener pastures, I worked in investments for a year before joining United Van Lines where I have been for the last 30 years. Marilyn and I have three grown children and are blessed with nine wonderful grandchildren.

My OLO experience in the school year of '65-'66 was sandwiched between five years at St. Henry's and the Novitiate. It was a happy time. It became an essential part of the diverse Oblate experiment/education during "closing times". I loved those seminary days, before/after Vatican II, etc. I cherish the many life long friendships developed during the '60's and am always curious to re-connect with a passage of time that prepared us for our future lives; how we've turned out or grown-up. The names on the website brought youthful faces and meaningful experiences back to life once again, and much laughter too. My spokesman/representative is the revered Roscoe, a truly talented and unforgetable fellow and friend. My memory was on overload and was excited in anticipation of sharing a joyful moment or two with past classmates and teachers of our past. Of course my fondest activities in those "good ole days" were involved playing baseball, basketball, bowling and all other sports, as well as our hours of rec time - shooting pool or card games or walks after meals before study hall. After Pine Hills and my departure during the Creighton year of '68-'69, I battled the draft monster and found a life long career in the field of social work. After 33 years in the area of welfare, mostly managing benefits, implementing current policies and supervising workers, I am an early retired soul. Along the way I fell in love with Judy, married for 33 years. We have three sons. I am a Christmas poet. Greetings to all and best wishes.

Few days go by when I don't thank God for the opportunity to have been educated by the Oblates at Our Lady of the Ozarks. It all started in the summer of l949 when John Taylor and Valentine Goetz came to my home in LaCrosse, Kansas, responding to a letter of interest sent by my Pastor at St. Michael's church. Shortly after the visit, my fellow classmate Ernest Herman and I received notice of acceptance. There are many people who were significant in the formation process; to name a few: Carl Schmenk; Francis Zachman, Carl Becherer, Al Svobodny, Valentince Goetz, etc.... These people gave generously of their time and support to a young kid from the hot Kansas farm. One special event that ranks high in my memory bank occured in the Chapel one November evening in '49 after singing the Salve Regina -- when John Taylor asked to see three or four freshmen in his office immediately. We learned shortly thereafter that our class size was reduced from 43 to 39. One of the highlights of the year was the annual Christmas concert for the public. It energized us to see community members from Carthage and surrounding towns hear us sing. A lot of credit goes to the layperson Robert and his successor Carl Becherer. After ordination in l962, I spent six years teaching in various high schools and three years as a Newman Chaplain at the University of Missouri, Columbia. I married a wonderful woman from Chicago in l973, and we have five happy and healthy boys and one girl (who is on a golf scholarship at Tulane University in New Orleans. You can imagine how proud we are). I want to say a word of appreciation for those who organized this reunion of OLO graduates.

It's great to see all the pictures and names of alumni who have signed the guest book. As Mike Dolan mentioned, we have kept in touch while at Lewis College/now university and again after meeting in Washington D.C. in 1973, where I was studying Theology with the Oblates there. I was ordained a priest with the Oblates at my home parish, St. Casimir, in St. Paul, Minn. I helped Fr. Paul Stoeckel OMI up in Door County, Wis. the first summer and then 3 years in International Falls. Then I moved down to Belleville, St. Henry's Prep, for 2 years as a teacher and 3 years as a Vocation Director. I was able to keep in touch with Lou Studer, a graduating classmate from OLO, who was principal at St. Henry's. I could also visit other alumni on my Vocation recruiting tours. Pat Miner only had 4 daughters at that time. As St. Henry's Prep was closing in 1984, I was asked if I would like to help out in Scandinavia. (I thought it was a very polite way of saying "we can't take any more of your puns". So, I said OK, and have been in DENMARK since. It is also a great joy to explain to a lot of the Vietnamese refugees who have come to DENMARK, that I attended the minor Seminary at what is now their Marian Pilgrimage site...Carthage, Mo. You all have a great time.

It's been many years. Browsing through the photos brought back many memories both good and not so good. I entered Carthage after finishing high school in Minnesota. After Novitiate, I studied philosophy in Mississippi and was the first class to merger with the southern province for theology in San Antonio. Completing one year of theology, I volunteered for Japan and finished my studies at Sophia Jesuit University, Tokyo, Japan. Ordained in 1968, I was sent to Kochi City, located on the southern island of Shikoku. During my 37-8 years here, I have been a full-time professor at a Japanese National University, a worker priest at the fishing market and ship building yards, and founder of a nationwide Japan Pro Life Movement. I also have my 5th-grade black belt in Karate, in charge of the university Karate club, referee tournaments and the president of the Japanese National Karate Association. In my spare time, I run two websites, one in English, the other Japanese. English: http://www.lifeissues.net I still love to go river or ocean fishing whenever time permits. Even though I live in a Japanese house near the University, I still find time to visit our city parish and help out. There are six Oblates spread throughout Kochi Prefecture, representing USA, Belgium and Sri Lanka. Recently, I've been appointed the Asian Regional Development Representative for National Human Life and have taken up Oil Painting to remind myself that I'm 64 and not getting any younger. In closing, I ask for your prayers that I stay strong both in my Faith/Trust relationship with God and in my fight with cancer. I wish you all a Happy Reunion! The Carthage Graduates work in many countries and with various people throughout the world. We can all be very proud of this. God Bless. Jerry Novotny, OMI

I hope a lot of will try really hard to make this reunion. I took a look at some of the pictures that Fr. Jim put on this website, and it really took me back to OLO. I was at OLO for the 4 years of high school, and then went with my class to Lewis College (now Lewis University) in Romeoville, IL, near Joliet, and southwest of Chicago about 35 miles. After making the decision that my life was to be in another direction after my sophomore year there, I stayed at Lewis in the dorm for one year, and then in an apartment with 3 other ex-Oblate seminarians. One of them, Al Heigert, was subsequently one of my groomsmen in my wedding. I married Madonna Holthaus whom I met in the Lewis Chorale. We have 4 kids: Heather is married and living with her husband in Milwaukee (no grandkids), Sean was handicapped and lived to be 8 years old, Ryan who is now 21 and studying high energy physics and math at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and Colleen who is 17 and a Junior in high school. Madonna and I met Fr. Al Courteau OMI while he was still in theology studies at the Catholic Univ. in Washington DC. What a surprise! We have tried to keep in touch with him over the past years. I had the good fortune to travel a lot and was in Denmark with Fr. Al a number of times, the most recent being January of 2003. For those of you who remember his special unique laugh - he still has it! I really hope that even more of us can make it to Belleville this summer. We need a good old fashioned reunion to reconnect old bonds and catch up on things. See you there!

Last summer I went to the mini-reunion at Ray Cummings' house. It was a very moving event, though I must admit that I didn't recognize everyone immediately by appearance. By the end of the day I remembered all of them, but had forgotten what I look like (I liked the thinner guy with curly hair in the old pictures). Since Carthage, I went on to the IHM novitiate (61-62) where I remember hearing Heywood McClendon ask Novice Master, Fr. Figge, if we would be told if the United States and the Soviet Union went to war over the Berlin Wall (just started before the beginning of our novitiate) Fr. Figge laughed and told us that we would know as soon as he did by the appearance of mushroom shaped clouds to the west (St. Louis). In 1962 I went along with our class to Pine Hills where we had many interesting things happen: 1) Finn Lynge killed a farmer's cow with a bow and arrow while hunting wild boars; 2) New Orleans on 50 cents a day (negotiating with others for parts of my money so that others could buy Hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's; 3) having to turn in the 4 tickets to the Sugar Bowl I had gotten from my uncle because Fr. Mike Deis thought it inappropriate, 4) heat and mosquitoes; 5) sailing on the Bay, camping in the bayous, working in the welding shop (a learned skill, since I tired of sweeping the steps from floor 5 to the basement every day; 6) mosquitoes and heat; 7) hearing of JFK's assasination from a local guy who thought it wonderful that "they got that bastard Kennedy in Dallas", 8) the worst food I ever refused to eat, Good Friday in the early 60s, etc. After Philosophy I left the Oblates and entered law school in Chicago. It is a gentic failing in our family...all the men have been lawyers or military officers going back many decades. Law school at John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Graduation in 1968. At the same time I watched with dismay the Democratic Convention that year. I took the bar exam in Illinois while the Soviet tanks were rumbling through Czechoslovakia (irony to follow). While taking the bar, I was staying at an inn in Chicago, where I was kept awake into the early morning by raucous kids down the hall. When I went to beg them for quiet so I could not fall asleep they were very apolgetic and nice kids, and were in fact the US Men's and Women's Olympic swimming and diving teams just back from Mexico City. I took and passed the Illinois and Michigan Bar exams, practiced for awhile with my family's firm in downtown Chicago. In 1970 I wanted to get some trial experience and chose to get it in the Berrien County (St. Joseph, Michigan) Prosecutor's office. I was hired as the Civil and Appellate Assistant for the grandiose salary of $12,100 p.a. I made it a condition of my being hired there that, if I got the rest of my work done, I would be allowed a trial docket too. This was extemely funny to my boss, since he would have given me that work anyway, since we were so short-handed that it was essential. For 3 years I tried just about every kind of case, murder, rape, robbery down to drunk-driving, juveniles and hospitalization of the mentally ill. In 1973 I briefed, argued and won a case in the United States Supreme Court. In 1973, also, I went off to England to study how people became barristers(British trial lawyers). That allowed me to make many British friends and I go back there pretty much every year. I even toyed with accepting a place in chambers in London, but decided to come back to Berrien County to become the Prosecuting Attorney when my predecessor indicated he wanted to go into private practice. I was appointed to replace him in 1974, was re-elected 3 times, became President of the Michigan Prosecuting Attorneys Association and a member of the Michigan Environmental Review Board for the Governor. In 1981, I was nominated by Pres. Reagan and confirmed by the Senate, as United States Attorney for Western Michigan. Started with a staff of 7 lawyers and ended up 12+ years later with 30 or 40. I did a stint in Washington as Chief Assistant to the US Deputy Attorney General, and later Assistant to the US Attorney General. President Bush (the first), nominated me to become a judge of the US Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, but I was one of the 60 Republican nominees held up by the Democrat-controlled Senate until Pres. Clinton was elected, and then our nominations died the death. In 1994, I was the Republican nominee for Michigan Attorney General, lost and then went into private practice. I was again the R nominee for AG in 1998, winning that nomination after a bruising fight with then Governor John Engler, but again lost the general election to the now-current governor, Jennifer Granholm. I went back into private pracice here in Michigan. My partner, Anne Buckleitner, and I specialize in business litigation and mediation, and our practice extends from Chicago on the west to New York on the east, with an occasional foray into DC. She was an Assistant General Counsel for the FBI for a number of years, doing spies and terrorists. In 1978 I was married. We had a child, Carrie, who is the light of my life. She is now in college, hates politics thank you and is a wonderful person despite it. I was divorced in 1994, and continue the so far unsuccessful hunt for Ms. Right. My time in Carthage, and with the Oblates generally, was, after my family, the defining educational experience in my life. Education being taken in the broadest sense as learning about life. Though I have not seen many of you over the years, many have a vivid part in my memory. It is impossible to put into words without sounding hammy how important that experience was. Suffice to say I loved my time with all of you. What I have done and who I am is a result of my Oblate life, and it was all good. I look forward to seeing all of you in Belleville (doesn't this seem a little disloyal...I mean really, why not Carthage?). I am pleased to see that Bob Eimer will be there. He was of all of the priests there the one with the greatest impact, all positive, on my life. I haven't seen him for over 40 years, but, if he reads this, know that I appreciated you immensely and thanks. I save for later my specific memories of Carthage: baseball, basketball, the dirt basement, the stage (Pommier's musicals), Louwagie's accordion, Tarlizzo's organ, Fr. Paris bloody pointer, Sunday evening entertainment, our English class book and movie projects. Etc. One anecdote only: Several years ago, I called an investigator I was using on a case. His secretary in Michigan told me he was on travel in Southwestern Missouri. I asked her to have him get in touch with me as soon as possible. In a half an hour, I heard from him. He was calling from a telephone booth. When I asked him where he was, he became very irritated: "John, I'm in a place you've never heard of, so don't ask." "Yeah, but I heard you were in Missouri." "Yes, but this little town is on no maps." "Try me," I said. "Fine, ok, it's called Carthage, Missouri, are you satisfied?" "And where are you calling from?" "John, what's this all about...fine, I am calling from a phone booth on the town square." "And can you look out the window and see the Belle Starr Cafe?" Long silence..."Yes, but how the hell did you know that?" .... See you all in June.

I grew up in St. Clair Missouri. Attending grade school at St. Clare Catholic school. I graduated in 1966 from O.L.O then went on to Lewis College in Lockport, Illinois. After those two years I attended the Novitiate in Godfrey Ill. I left the Novitiate at Christmas time and set out on new horizons. I finished my College here in Springfield Missouri with a short break in between for Military and graduated in December of 1972 with a B.S. in Sociology. I married my lovely wife Kathy on September 23, 1972. We have lived in Springfield since then and have raised two daughters. The oldest who is married and the youngest will finish college in a year. I have worked several jobs after college and for the last 26 years have been employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Medical Facility here in Springfield. The last 15 years I have worked as the Lock and Security Specialist responsible for all the locking and security devices and weapons at this facility.

Some random memories of OLO in the 50's: The vocation workshop before freshman year, where I first met our classmate Joe Hitpas. He was a prince of a person even back then. I remember his complementing me on a running catch I made on a fly ball. The two German nuns in the kitchen. One was missing half a finger and seemed to have a crush on our classmate Frank Ardemagni, the talented pitcher from Tontitown, Arkansas. God bless them for all their work and their liver stews, but I wish they hadn't put all those onions in the fried potatoes or made their turnips look just like mashed potatoes. The manual labor projects during Holy Week. One was hauling dirt out of the dirt basement. (Fr. Smeenk called it the "dirty basement." He was my spiritual director at first and reminded me a lot of my father. It was a real loss when he transferred to parish work my sophomore year.) Another project was the annual window washing. What a thrill: sitting on a contraption outside the third floor windows in the spring air. Our retreats and our free days. I spent one of those free days playing basketball one-on-one with a classmate named Robert Majkrzak, or something resembling that spelling. He was one of the many among us 42 freshmen who did not stay for the duration. The only reason I remember him is because of that day. It was a terrific carefree day. Playing on the sophomore basketball team. I was the second highest scorer that year, but was cut during JV tryouts the following year by the new coach. That was tough to take. Everything associated with the annual Christmas concerts. Practicing by parts (I was in the first bass group), going door to door amoung the ante-bellom houses in Carthage peddling the tickets, enjoying the solos of singers like Gerry Pepping. Fr. Becherer displayed just as much thoroughness, enthusiasm, and organization in the courses he taught as he did in his functions as music director. He made even chemistry interesting. In the fat Latin book we used to study the Aeneid, every page was loaded with footnotes pertaining to history, mythology, linguistics, literature, art, etc. The prudent thing would have been to ignore all those footnotes, but he didn't. He elaborated on most of those on a daily basis. And think of all the training we had in Gregorian Chant. I bet only .00001 % of the U.S. population was exposed to as much of that beautiful and esoteric subject as we were. The boredom of Sundays. I never felt the appeal of hiking to a bakery for bear claws, sitting in the stands during the basketball games, or watching the Randolph Scott cowboy movies full of fisticuffs in shadows. Thank God for the talent shows preceding the movies. Although not a fan of Vince Louwagie's accordion renditions of "Lady of Spain," I always did enjoy Richard Pommier singing "There is a Tavern in the Town," and a certain pianist who always wowed us with "Sabre Dance." And the more slapstick comedy skits the better. I was in some myself. For example, Denis Lockette and I formed the comedy team of L & M and made up our own "Old Philosopher" routine. Weekday recreation times after supper were better. Ping-Pong asan underclassman, and pool as a cool upper classman (On the upper floor, of course, while listening to Elvis sing his early songs like "Don't Be Cruel" on a rock 'n' roll station out of K.C.

Greetings, All. Attended OLO from 1957 to 1963. One of the most fantastic experiences of my life. Great memories - great friends - great education. Attended St. Thomas University (St. Paul, MN) from 63 to 65. Graduated w. BA in Latin. (Don Paris would be proud, maybe.) Remember that Dennis Rasmussen, Bob Underberg, Steve Heath, Mike Cain being there at the same time. (Did I miss anybody?) Can't believe the 40th college reunion is coming soon. Taught Latin, English & Religion and coached drama, debate, and speech at Hill High School in St. Paul for 2 years. (Couldn't have done that coaching without all that Dr. Donovan, Fr. Eimer and Fr. Biondolillo taught me.) Moved to Wautoma, WI where I taught Latin and English and coached football, baseball, and drama from 67 to 70. Started a HS program for learning disabled students. At Wautoma, our Latin program had about 50 students (out of a student body of 400) with over 200 in the Latin Club. Sent a group to Rome each year over Easter. Our kids competed in the same Latin competition that Fr. Paris has us participate in at OLO. In 1970, we had 39 out of 40 win an award with 7 gold medals and a school trophy. Pretty fair year - thanks Fr. Paris for the inspiration. Married Esther Schwegler June 7, 1068 - still married. Attended St. Cloud State University from 70 to 71 with MS in Special Education. Started at Brainerd Regional Human Services Center in 1971 and spent 2 years as a teacher, then moved into operational research and grant writing. From 1980 to 1982, was on detached asssignment to help start and run a chemical dependency treatment program for adolescents in Little Falls, MN. From 1982 to 2001, have been the Director of Quality for BRHSC. Retired in 2002. Have been involved in Baldrige-based evaluations from 1994 to present and now serve as Chief Judge of the Minnesota Quality Award. It's a great way to volunteer - it's rare to find volunteer opportunities that use one's brain and not just do busy work. Esther and I have adopted 10 children - 5 from Korea and 5 from America. One has passed away but now have children living in Ohio, New Mexico, Washington, Georgia, Maryland, and Minnesota. Six of our 7 sons joined the National Guard on the 17th birthdays - 4 went on to regular service in the Army or the Air Force. One is still in the Army - he's a platoon leader for the Army Rangers. He hasn't been in the Middle East yet but expect him to go soon. Es and I also have 9 grandchildren of which only 4 are in Minnesota. Our daughters-in-law hail from Vietnam, the Phllipines, Korea, and the United States. Seven of our grandchildren enjoy mixed ethnic heritage. Our family is sort a mini United Nations. Really unjoyed seeing some classmates a few summers ago at a resort near Park Rapids, MN - Louie Sevigny, Lance Powell, Mike Kohnen, Nick Barthel, and John (Fred) Riehle. Just missed seeing Charlie Dunleavy. Not sure it will be possible to attend the reunion. Have some surgery scheduled this Spring and Esther may be retiring from state sevice and taking a job - possibly as parish administrator in Brainerd. It may be difficult to get away. It sure would be great to see everybody though.

many of us who made it to pinehills in the early or mid-60s experienced a coming out or sorts. with the counselling of tom hayes, i went to the men's clothing store in gulfport, got a suit of clothes, and with $150 headed to new orleans face the world , living with roomates gary siegel and john koeferl. after deciding that getting up at 5 am. and taking the trolley to work for $1.50 per hour at the bayou candy held no future for me, i headed north to my roots, and started grad school at u. of minn, in the mental health sciences. ray cummings has a class together, and i think tom price was there also. i didn't get a grad student deferrment, so was drafted by the army. hoping for lthe paris peace talks to stop the war, i went to infantry osc, spent about 9 months in vietnam, was wounded in cambodia, "million dollar" wounds, not sufficient for retirement, so after my duty at ft. ord in monterey, ca. went to law school, and chose santa cruz as the place to live, work, and grow kids. have two , one married, oneliving with us, and have been married to lenora for 35+ years. she also qualifies for canonization for her patience and tolerance. i'm somewhat of a francophile, tx to the indoctrination of carl becherer. )(where is he now). i hung up my basketball shoes(thank you bob eimer for those great years on the hardwood) about 5 years ago, and tennis is now my game - 4 or 5 times a week weather permitting. with many friends in for prostate cancer surgery, mortality has never been more of a reality. does big daddy kraus still smoke a pipe? has there ever been an attack by steegies outside of the olo dorm? god rest the soul of francis zachman! does bill reagan have stacks and stacks of books around him in his chamber in heaven? is bro. as humble as always? has anyone developed arthritis as a result of donparis cracking 'em during latin class? is bill minwegen less sarcastic in his old age? these are just a few of the many good memories which i'm thankful for.

I spent 4 years in the Air Force after graduating from high school. (1958-62) I married a Chicago girl, MaryAnne in 1962 and have three adult children who have given us seven grandkids as of now. OLO student Dennis Lockette introduced MaryAnne and I. She lived around the corner from Gene McClaughry, another OLO student. As a matter of fact my brother-in-law married Gene"s little sister Peggy. Sad to say, Gene passed away very suddenly in 1960 at the age of 50. He was a Deacon in the Chicago Diocese. I will retire on Feb. 20 after 35 years with the St. Louis Police Dept. MaryAnne is the music director for St. Francis of Assisi in South St. Louis County. She plays half a dozen instruments and learned percussion with Ramsey Lewis at Wells HS in Chicago. We visit frequently with Dennis & Margaret Lockette and Frank and Fran Witte. We are in touch with Mike Hagan and Bob Jennewin on a regular basis.

Retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Major in 1993 after over 28 years' active duty. Have been married for almost 32 years. I have 2 sons and a daughter. All single, so I'm not a Grandpa! I think often and fondly of my years at OLO and the great faculty, staff and students that I knew while there from 1960 - 1962. May God Bless and Keep You All. Ric Parks

I guess I should have said earlier that I never graduated from OLO. The school closed my Freshman year. Maybe they knew what was coming. HA. I went back to South Dakota and finished school. I have lost contact with all my class mates. I remember what state most of them came from but that is about it. The last time I ran into a classmate was when I was in the service in Texas in 1975, I was waiting to march some troops back to the barracks when Tim Meyer came over, but that was last contact. I hope the reunion changes all that. Has there been a day set yet? I need to make sure a schedule vacation time. God Bless Sylvan Fix

Tom Yurek's question posted on the web site is very appropriate. The answer is quite simple. I was a student at OLO from 53 to 58. I taught there from 66 to 71. I kept albums of classmates, etc. I have no access to any other pictures. If someone will send me some, I will be happy to try to post them so that we can have a more representative mix. If I receive photos, I will scan them and return them. If the owner can scan them and e-mail them, even easier for me. Thanks for your interest. Jim Allen, OMI Webmaster

Fond memories of OLO and Boni Wittenbrink's freshman Latin class: Repetitio es mater studiorem (sorry, Boni, I am a bit rusty) and the great basketball teams that Bob Eimer put on the floor. I was a rabble rouser cheerleader. We had some trumpets and drums, etc. Wild. I enjoyed debate classes with the wiley Tom Kozeny and Gerry Pepping among others.

What a wonderful opportunity to gather and reflect on the tremendous gift that the minor seminary experience was to those of us who attended OLO! Even more than 30 years later, my life is colored daily by experiences that were mine with the Oblates in Carthage. I have spent many satisfying years working in campus minstry, catechetical ministry, and Catholic publishing. I am still very involved in liturgical music ministry (especially with my wife of 25 years, Beth), which dates back to extremely positive experiences with the Oblates -- particularly Tom O'Connell and Carl Becherer -- in the heady days following the Second Vatican Council. I am currently working for St. Anthony Messenger Press (the Franciscans), directing their marketing efforts into the institutional Church market. My wife and I have three children: Rachel (22), who recently graduated from St. Mary College in Leavenworth, Kansas; Joseph (17), now a senior in high school, and Rebecca (9), a very spunky 4th grader. I've marked my calendar for next summer, anticipating a joyful celebration of the OLO experience with others who have experienced the gift (and challenge) that was an OLO education!

The foundations laid at OLO have served me throughout my entire life. I have been blessed in the state of matrimony for over 22 years with my bride Cyndi Adele and two sons, Kevin Michael (20) and Kellin Joseph (18). We have twin angels(Angel and Dawn) in Heaven due to a miscarriage early in our marriage. One of the greatest gifts I have been given is my wife who shares the same strong Catholic convictions I have. I owe the Oblates a huge debt of gratitude for solidifying my Faith and giving me the tools to truly live the Faith day in and day out in the world, but not be of the world. I have been blessed in my life and I thank the Triune Divinity often throughout the day for the crosses God has given me and helped me to handle and understand.
