By Artie Pingolt, President, Missionary Oblate Partnership

The Missionary Oblate Partnership, through Mission Project Service (MPS),
its new joint ministry with OST, delivered a 3 day workshop in Port au
Prince October 6-8.  The workshop was convened by the Haitian Religious
Conference and the official host for the weekend was Loudeger Mazile, OMI
Haiti Provincial.

In addition to Loudeger and three other local Oblates, nearly 50 religious
and representatives from the Haitian Bishops Conference attended.
Partnership President Artie Pingolt delivered the workshop, together with
Fr. Bill Johnson, SJ and Mr. Charlie Rotunno, from the Raskob Catholic
Foundation in the US.

Each workshop includes sessions on congregational sustainability, project
cycle management, grant research and drafting of an application request and
full grant proposal document.

The Latin America Committee of the USCCB underwrote the event, held at the
Haitian Religious Conference headquarters. www.oblatepartnership.org
