PRAISE IS WHAT I DO
The Power, Presence and Provision of Black Spirituality in a Time of Reflection and Discernment
Shrine Visitors Center
Monday, February 26
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Explore the richness of Black Spirituality and how its embrace of Scripture, ritual, community and justice serves as a refreshing catalyst for experiencing Lent.
As we enter into this season of Lent, we are called to reflect and prepare for the Paschal Mystery that is soon to come.
Join Danielle Harrison, part of the preaching team at King’s House at Our Lady of the Snows, as she leads a time of reading God’s Word, singing God’s praises and responding to God’s call in each of our lives.
Danielle Harrison is the director of mission and charism at Cor Jesu Academy, an all-girls Catholic School in St. Louis, Mo. She received her Master of Theology degree from Aquinas Institute of Theology in 2007, with a concentration in Biblical studies. In addition to her work with King’s House, Harrison speaks at different churches around the country. Her husband, Tim, is an ordained United Methodist clergy member and recently was assigned as pastor to a United Church of Christ parish in Troy, Ill. Harrison loves to sing, laugh, read, play the piano and generally enjoy life.
