“Ready to sacrifice goods, talents, ease, even their lives”

The Natal Province, on 26-27 June, convened for the Provincial's Assembly which saw all the Oblates of the province and those of the Mission of Zimbabwe come together to reflect on the province’s missions, its challenges and its future. The province's need to return to its roots, the spirit, and the charism of the Congregation occupied the debates. The Assembly centered on the theme: “Ready to sacrifice goods, talents, ease even their lives”.

On July 23, the DC District Court ruled in favor of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) rules which upheld section 1502 of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act against the National Association of Manufacturers, Chamber of Commerce and the Business Roundtable.

Volunteers Clear Riverbanks of Rio Grande

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Soldotna, Alaska supported our group of seven teens through fund raisers and allowed four chaperones to accompany them on a trip to Mission, Texas. We were hosted in Mission by Our Lady of Guadalupe parish and Fr. Roy Snipes, OMI.
